_________________
* For amounts of titanium, vanadium, chromium and manganese.

** Allowed mass fraction of iron not less than 0.18%.

Note. In aluminum brand A5E designed for the manufacture of wire rod brand ACLP-5PT according to GOST 13843, is allowed the mass fraction of silicon not more than 0.12%.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 3, 4, 6).

4. In aluminium technical purity grades of all arsenic should not be more than 0,015%.

In aluminum of high purity of all grades mass fraction of magnesium should be no more than 0.005% and not taken into account when determining the grade of aluminum.

At the request of the consumer of refined aluminum of high purity mass fraction of magnesium should be no more than 0.001%. To the designation of the brand of this aluminium is added the letter R.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 3, 4, 7).

5. In aluminum brand A5E for the mass concentration of the sum of impurities of titanium, vanadium, manganese and chromium, not more than 0,010% of the allowed mass fraction of silicon up to 0.15% subject to compliance with clause 13.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 3).

6. Mass fraction of aluminum listed in the table below for grades and high technical purity, is determined as follows:

for aluminium with high purity by difference between 100% and sum of mass fractions of impurities of iron, silicon, copper, zinc and titanium; aluminium technical purity by difference between 100% and the sum of the mass fraction of iron, silicon, copper, zinc, titanium and other impurities, mass fraction of each of which exceed 0.01%.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 4).

7. In aluminum and high technical purity mass fraction of iron, silicon and copper should be monitored in each cast or heat is provided with ready and indicated in the certificate.

8. Mass fraction of zinc, titanium, manganese, magnesium, and sodium in aluminum and high technical purity and mass fraction of lead and arsenic in aluminium technical purity is controlled periodically, but not less than each 100-th or melting at least one analysis of 2000 tons of aluminum.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 6).

9. By agreement between manufacturer and consumer of refined aluminum and high technical purity intended for the production of aluminium wrought alloys of the system aluminum-magnesium, the mass fraction of sodium should not be more than 0.001%.

In this case, the designation of the brand of aluminium is added the letter R.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 3).

10. Customer’s request aluminum brand A99 comes a mass fraction of copper to 0.005%.

10A. By agreement of the parties permitted to export aluminum A95 with a mass fraction of iron to 0.025%, silicon to 0.020% for anodizing.

(Added, Rev. N 1).

11. In aluminium technical purity, produced in the form of ingots for processing by pressure, in agreement with the consumer is entered, the modifier is titanium or titanium plus boron in an amount up to 0.1% for brands A85, A8, A7, A6, A5 and up to 0.15% of A0 for the brand. In these cases the brand of the aluminium content of the modifier in the total amount of impurities is not taken into account.

12. For the production of deformed semi-finished aluminium technical purity grades A85, A8, A7, A6, A5, and A0 is produced in ingots with respect to the impurities of iron to silicon of at least 1.2:1.0 and in the bars — not less than 1,0:1,0. To the designation of the brand of such a metal is added the letter P. When the colored marking is added oblique stripe of the same color as the vertical stripes.

11, 12. (Changed edition, Rev. N 2).

13. Electrical resistance at 20 °C of wire, made of aluminum grades A7E and A5E and annealed at 350±20 °C for 3 h should be no more than:

0,0277 OhmГОСТ 11069-74 Алюминий первичный. Марки (с Изменениями N 1-7)/m for the grade A7E;

0,0280 OhmГОСТ 11069-74 Алюминий первичный. Марки (с Изменениями N 1-7)/m for the brand A5E.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

14. High purity aluminum brand А999 control the magnitude of the residual electrical resistance at liquid helium temperature ГОСТ 11069-74 Алюминий первичный. Марки (с Изменениями N 1-7), which should not exceed 4·10ГОСТ 11069-74 Алюминий первичный. Марки (с Изменениями N 1-7)Ohm·cm.

Allowed control of the purity of aluminium of the brand А999 largest ultrasound attenuation, characterized by the playing time ГОСТ 11069-74 Алюминий первичный. Марки (с Изменениями N 1-7), which should not exceed 500 µs.

14a. By agreement between manufacturer and consumer in aluminum, intended for the manufacture of alloys whose components are normalized by the impurities of aluminum, may be increased to a content of impurities up to the content level of the component in the corresponding alloy.

(Added, Rev. N 2).

15. Aluminum and high technical purity mark by drawing on a pig, ingots, etc. bands in the following colors:

for aluminum brand A995 — four green vertical stripes;
