This standard applies to niobium rods, designed for the production and alloying of alloys and other purposes.

1. BRAND AND ASSORTMENT

1.1. Niobium rods are made in three grades: 00 SNB, SNB SNB 0 and 1.

OKP codes are given in the Appendix.

1.2. Niobium shtabikov dimensions and tolerances should conform to the standards specified in table.1.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1. Niobium rods shall be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard in accordance with technical documentation approved in the established order.

2.2. Mass fraction of impurities in the niobium stabika must conform to the standards specified in table.2.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES

3.1. Niobium rods take parties. The party should consist of shtabikov made from the same batch of powder, one brand and one cross-section and decorated with a single instrument of quality in which you specify:

is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;

— material name and its brand;

— the batch number;

— the net weight;

the cross — sectional dimensions of shtabikov;

— test results;

— the number of seats in the party;

— date of manufacture;

— the stamp of the technical control Department;

— the designation of this standard.

One copy of the document on quality invest in a cargo space N 1.

For shtabikov intended for long-term storage, the document certifying their quality, is put in every box.

3.2. The cross-sectional size, length, deflection, and the amount of twisting is controlled at each stabika.

4. TEST METHODS

4.1. The cross-sectional size and length shtabikov control metal ruler according to GOST 427−75.

4.2. Sampling

4.2.1. A sample taken from shtabikov in the form of chips and pieces.

4.2.2. Spot samples of the chips are taken from both ends of the rod billet on a lathe. The mass of the spot samples should be not less than 30 g.

Single samples of the chip are combined and averaged. The mass of the joint sample shall be not less than 60 g.

4.2.3. Spot samples are pieces taken chisel in locations of the sampling chip. The mass point of the sample pieces shall be not less than 3 g.

Sample pieces taken before or after sampling the chips.

One-off sample pieces are combined and averaged.

The mass of the joint sample pieces shall be not less than 40 g.

4.2.4. The combined sample is divided into two equal parts.

Each part of the sample was placed in glass jars with ground stoppers or screw caps, or in bags made of polyethylene film GOST 10354−82, which are knotted or welded, and then Packed in bags made of a paper sack according to GOST 2228−81.

5. MARKING, PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

5.1. Each rod billet labeling with grade and batch number. The markings on the rod billet is applied to the stigma.

5.2. Rods are Packed in bundles weighing no more than 30 kg.

Each pack is Packed in sack paper according to GOST 2228−81 and placed in stout wooden boxes of types I-III according to GOST 2991−85.

The free space in the boxes after stacking them shtabikov fill of wood shavings or sawdust.

The gross weight of the box should be no more than 40 kg.

Boxes must be banded with a metal band to GOST 3560−73 or wire according to GOST 3282−74.

Packaging shtabikov of niobium in metal pallet box of the type according to normative-technical documentation.

Gross weight of the pallet should be not more than 400 kg.

5.3. Transport marking — according to GOST 14192−96 with additional inscriptions:

— trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;

— name and brand or cipher products;

— batch number;

— manipulation sign «Protect from moisture»;

the designation of the present standard.

5.4. Rods of niobium is transported by railway or air transport in accordance with cargo carriage regulations applicable to transport of this species.

5.5. Niobium rods Packed in wooden crates or pallets metal box-type, train transport is transported in universal containers according to GOST 18477−79 or small shipments in boxcars.
