1 Scope

This standard applies to cold-drawn wire round alloy T chromel, alumel, Copel and Constantan (hereinafter, wire), used for the manufacture of thermoelectrodes of thermoelectrical transducers.

3 Terms and definitions


This standard applies the terminology according to GOST 32597, as well as the following terms with respective definitions:

3.1 wire: Prefabricated with a cross section of constant size, rolled into the Bay or wound into a coil, manufactured by rolling, pressing or drawing.

3.2 Bay: Cut product wound into a series of continuous turns right not mixed up in rows, with no sharp bends.

4 Assortment

4.1 nominal diameter of round wire and limit deviation shall be as specified in table 1.

4.2 Wire is supplied in coils, Hanks or on reels.

5 Technical requirements

5.1 Wire produced in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.

5.2 Wire made from alloys chromel T brand NH9,5, alumel brand Nmcak2−2-1 and the Copel brand Mnmc43−0.5 and Constantan brand Mnmc40−1,5 with the chemical composition according to GOST 492.

Note — it is allowed in the alloy chromel T increase in mg content up to 0.2% if the wire meets all other requirements of this standard.

5.3 Wire alloy T chromel, alumel, Copel and Constantan for thermocouples are manufactured with nominal static characteristic of chromel — alumel /HA (K), chromel — Copel /XK (L)/, chromel — Constantan /HCN (E)/ in accordance with the requirements given in table 2.

5.4 Thermoelectric power (T. E. D.) developed by the pair, compiled from wire chromel and alumel /HA (K)/, of the wire of the alloy chromel and Copel /XK (L)/ and alloy wire chromel and Constantan /HCN (E)/ must correspond to the nominal values with the requirements of GOST R 8.585. The lifespan of the wire (in pairs) depending on its diameter and operating temperatures given in Appendix B (table B. 1).

5.5, the maximum deviations of T. E. D. S. wire, packaged in pairs in the party, must comply with the values given in table 3.
