4.1.8 Rod shall withstand cold bending through 180° around mandrel of diameter equal to the diameter of the test rod.

4.1.9 In the microstructure of wire rod, podolka (martensitic and toostonedtocare areas) is not allowed.

4.1.10 produce wire Rod in coils consisting of one continuous cut. Coils wire rod in coils have to be placed without entanglement. It is possible to produce wire rod in coils, consisting of two segments, not more than 10% of the batch weight.

4.1.11 the Weight of one roll should be not less than 160 kg. allowed in the party up to 10% of skeins weighing less than 160 kg, but not less than 100 kg.

Allowed weight of coil not less than 50 kg for wire rod produced on the linear mills.

4.1.12 At the customer’s request wire rod comes with a guarantee weldability. Weldability is ensured by chemical composition and production technology of wire rod.

4.1.13 At the request of the consumer in the wire rod is determined by the grain size of ferrite. Norms are established by agreement between manufacturer and consumer.

4.2 Marking

5 ACCEPTANCE RULES

5.1 wire Rod taken for parties consisting of coils wire rod of the same diameter, one melting and one method of cooling.

Acquisition allowed the national team of the party from a rod of the same diameter, same brand several steel heats and one method of cooling. Weight team of the party should be no more than carload norms.

5.2 surface Quality check on each reel rod. To control the diameter and ovality of wire rod selected 5% of the skeins, but at least three of the party.

5.3 control of the mechanical properties, microstructure, mass scale on the surface of wire rod and flexure tests taken three coils from the party. From each controlled roll take one sample for each test from either end of a coil — rod cooled one-stage or on the air, and from its rear end rod, a chilled two-stage method.

Determination of the mass scale, the relative narrowing of the cross section after the rupture, a temporary resistance, as well as the bend test and control of the microstructure of the manufacturer is allowed to produce, provided that these characteristics of the production technology.

If unsatisfactory results at least in one of the figures on it, repeat tests are carried out at twice the sample. The results of repeated tests spread to the entire party.

5.4 Sampling for the determination of chemical composition is carried out according to GOST 7565. Determination of the chemical composition in the finished wire rod is allowed not to perform if the manufacturer guarantees compliance with the established standards.

6 METHODS TO CONTROL

6.1 Chemical analysis were carried out according to GOST 22536.0 to GOST 22536.9, GOST 12359 or other methods providing the required accuracy of the analysis.

To determine the mass of dross on the surface of wire rod, select a sample length of 500 mm.

6.3 surface quality Control is carried out visually without the use of magnifying devices. The depth of the defects on the surface of the rod is determined after zapilovke needle files to remove the defect with subsequent comparative measurement of the neighbouring land — stripped and unstripped.

If necessary, permission to carry out a quality control surface with the aid of magnifying devices.

6.4 the Diameter of wire rod, measured to the nearest 0.1 mm with a caliper type SHC-1, MCT-1 according to GOST 166.

6.5 the Mass of the oxides on the rod surface is determined by the method given in Appendix A.

6.6 Temporary resistance and relative narrow cross-section after rupture is determined according to GOST 1497.

6.7 the bend Test in cold state is carried out according to GOST 14019.

6.9 the grain Size of ferrite is determined according to GOST 5639.

6.10 permitted to use statistical and non-destructive control methods, mechanical properties and other specified characteristics of the rod.

7 TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

7.1 Transportation and storage — by GOST 7566 with additions.

Shipments of wire rod produced by the parties. In the same car should be transporting wire rod, one or more batches of a certain diameter and one grade of steel.
