6 INTRODUCED FOR THE FIRST TIME

Information about the changes to this standard is published in the annual reference index «National standards», and the text changes and amendments — in monthly information index «National standards». In case of revision (replacement) or cancellation of this standard a notification will be published in the monthly information index «National standards». Relevant information, notification and lyrics are also posted in the information system of General use — on the official website of the Federal Agency for technical regulation and Metrology on the Internet

Introduction

This standard is developed on the basis of GOST 8696, GOST 10704, GOST 10705, GOST 10706, as well as a synthesis of domestic and foreign experience of the use of pipes.

Pipe manufactured according to GOST 8696, GOST 10704, GOST 10705, GOST 10706, have the same scope as General-purpose tubes. Therefore, in this standard, developed on the basis of the above mentioned standards, the requirements for these pipes are combined.

Compared to GOST 8696, GOST 10704, GOST 10705, GOST 10706 in this standard:

— introduced a classification of pipes according to the strength grade;

— supplemented by a number of pipe sizes the outside diameter and wall thickness;

— equipped with two precision-length of tubes: normal and high;

— added the possibility of testing of pipes for impact strength and non-destructive testing;

— added the possibility of manufacturing pipes with the definition of carbon equivalent and free from scale, surface, trim ends.

1 Scope

This standard applies to welded steel pipes of General purpose made of carbon and low-alloy steel.

5 Assortment

5.1 Types of pipes and delivery condition

Pipe manufactures the following types:

— longitudinally welded with one longitudinal seam, VPS or DSPP;

— welded with two longitudinal seams, ДСФ2П;

— spirally with a spiral seam, DSFS.

Pipe supply-welded or welded gorjachedeformirovannye.

Tubes put in a condition after heat treatment in the entire volume, after the local heat treatment of welded joints with or without heat treatment.

5.2 Dimensions

Pipe manufactured by outside diameter and wall thickness dimensions shown in table 1, the normal precision of the outer diameter.

At the customer’s request pipes can be manufactured with high precision in outside diameter.

By agreement between the manufacturer and the customer pipes can be manufactured with dimensions that are not specified in table 1.
