(Changed edition, Rev. N 4).

2.2. As the material, the wire is supplied rigid (hard) or soft (annealed).

The condition of the material should be specified in the order. If the order specifies the condition of the material, the wire is supplied in solid (cold-worked) condition.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

2.3. The surface of wire should be clean, without foreign inclusions, captivity, cracks, cavities, delaminations, and dents. On the surface of the wire are not allowed vices, bringing the wire at reference sweep for tolerances for dimensions. Allowed on the wire surface for the local darkening and color of tint, with the exception of wire of gold grades 99,99 Zl; Zl is 99.9.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1, 4).

2.4. Soft wire diameter from 0.2 to 4 mm should not break or split when wrapped 10 turns on a mandrel equal to twice the diameter of the tested wire.

2.5. Wire of diameter 0.60 mm and less shall be wound into a coil, and a diameter of more than 0.60 mm rolled coils in series, providing free spooling.

Delivery wire with a diameter of 0.50 mm and 0.55 mm in coils.

The ends of the wire in coils and reels must be secured by the end of the wire of the same coil or coils.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1, 3).

2.6. Each coil or coil consists of a single segment wire.

2.7. Weight of wire on a reel or on a spool provided in Appendix 1.

2.9. The properties of the alloys jewelry destination specified in GOST 30649−99.

(Added, Rev. N 4).

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES

3.1. Wire take parties. The party should consist of wire of the same size; one brand of metal, alloy; one state of material to be furnished by a single document about quality that contains:

trademark or the name and trademark of manufacturer;

symbol wire;

the condition of the material;

the weight of the batch, g;

chemical composition;

the number of melt or party;

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1, 3).

3.2. Checks weight of each packing unit is held in the balance according to GOST 24104−2001 in accordance with the order of accounting and storage of precious metals, established by the appropriate national authority.

(Deleted, Rev. N 1. Introduced later, Rev. N 4).

3.3. Quality control of wire for compliance with the requirements of PP.1.1−1.6 and 2.3 shall be subject to 100% skeins or coils of the party.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

3.4. To check the wire according to claim 2.4 from each party select three samples from different skeins or coils.

3.5. Determination of the chemical composition for compliance with GOST 6835−2002,GOST 6836−2002 or GOST 30649−99 produce two spools or coils of the party.

The manufacturer is allowed to determine the chemical composition of samples taken from the molten metal or the ingot.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1, 4).

3.6. If unsatisfactory validation results according to claim 2.4 a second check for twice the number of reels or coils selected from the same batch.

The results of the repeated checking are final and apply to the entire party.

4. TEST METHODS

4.1. Inspection of the wire for compliance with the requirements of section 2.3 is produced without the use of magnifying devices.
