1 Scope

This standard applies to copper wire for the manufacture of cylinder bars according to GOST 3779.

3 Terms and definitions

This standard applies the following terms with respective definitions:

3.1 wire: Prefabricated with a cross section of constant size, manufactured by rolling, pressing or drawing.

3.2 ovality (deviation from circular shape): Difference between the largest and smallest values of the diameters measured at one cross section perpendicular to the axis of the wire.

3.3 dent: Local deepening of various sizes and shapes with sloping edges.

3.4 shell: a Defect in the form of recesses on the surface of the rolled point or having an elongated shape and chaotic arrangement.

3.5 crack: a Defect of a surface, representing a rupture of the metal.

3.6 stratification: the discontinuity of metal, oriented along the direction of deformation.

3.7 risk: a Longitudinal recess or protrusion on the surface of products of different length in the warp direction.

3.8 nick: Local deepen with sharp edges.

4 Assortment

4.1 wire Diameter and tolerances for the wire diameter shall be as specified in table 1.

Note — tolerances for the diameter wire installed for the same batch of wire. For different batches of wire of diameter values may differ from those in this table with the value from -0,010 to +0,020 mm.

4.2 Theoretical weight of 1 m of wire is given in Appendix A.

4.3 out-of-Roundness of the wire must not exceed half of the maximum deviations in diameter.

4.4 Wire produced in segments of length from 1500 to 2000 mm inclusive. It is possible to manufacture wire with a length of less than 1500 mm, but not less than 800 mm in the amount not exceeding 10% of the batch weight.

5 Technical requirements

5.1 Wire produced in accordance with the requirements of this standard according to the technical documentation of the manufacturer, duly approved.

Wire made from copper grade M0b according to GOST 859 with the chemical composition shown in table 2.

5.2 Wire manufactures cold-drawn (stretched) in the solid state.

5.3 the surface of the wire must be smooth, clean, no prisoners, dross and cracks, free from contamination, hindering its inspection.

The total length of defective areas must not exceed 30 mm per 1 m length. Each defective area should be painted with indelible paint.

5.4 the roughness Parameter of the wire surface Ra (arithmetic mean deviation of the profile) should be no more than 0,63 mm according to GOST 2789.

5.5 Mechanical properties the wire shall conform to the requirements specified in table 3.

5.6 the Wire must withstand a test of homogeneity, rigidity and surface strength when crimping.

6 acceptance Rules

6.1 Wire take parties. The party should consist of wire of the same diameter, made of a single ingot or a part thereof, shall be furnished a document about quality that contains:

is the trademark or name and trademark of manufacturer;

— the name of the country of manufacture;

— legal address of the manufacturer and (or) the seller;

— designation of wire;

— test results and the annealing modes of columns (at the request of the consumer);

— the batch number;

the weight of the party.

The weight of the batch of wire shall be as defined in table 4.

Allowed to supply 10% of the batches of wire with the following reduced masses:

— 13 kg — for a wire diameter of 4.0 mm;

— 22 kg — for wire diameter 5.0 mm;

— 35 kg — a wire of diameter 6.0 mm;

— 45 kg — for wire diameter of 8.0 and 10.0 mm.

6.2 Control of dimensions and surface quality is performed on each segment of wire in the party.

6.3 Control of mechanical properties carried out on two lengths of wire from the party.

6.4 Control the uniformity, stiffness, and surface strength when compression is carried out not less than 27 lengths of wire from the party.

6.5 Monitoring of the chemical composition in compliance with the requirements of 5.1 is carried out on one segment of the party.

The manufacturer allowed the chemical composition to be monitored on samples from the molten metal. For the determination of chemical composition sampling of molten metal is carried out from each melt or each casting.

6.6 If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the figures specified in 6.2 to 6.5, it is carried out a re-test of the doubled sample taken from the same batch. The results of repeated tests spread to the entire party.

7 Methods of inspection and testing

7.1 the Quality of the wire surface check inspection without the use of magnifying devices.

Control of roughness of the wire surface is carried out by visual comparison of the quality of the wire surface samples surface roughness (samples comparison), certified by metrological service of the manufacturer.

7.2 Measurement of wire diameter on compliance and ovality 4.1 — 4.3 is carried out in two mutually perpendicular directions in any field not less than 15 mm from the cut ends of the wire lever with a micrometer according to GOST 4381 or other devices that provide the necessary measurement accuracy. Measurement of the lengths of wire for compliance with requirements 4.4 conduct with a ruler according to GOST 427 or other devices that provide the necessary measurement accuracy.

If there is disagreement on the definition of the diameter and cut lengths of wire measured with a micrometer according to GOST 4381, GOST 6507 and a ruler according to GOST 427.

7.3 To control the mechanical properties of each segment of the wire selected for testing, select one sample.

7.4 Test wire tensile (tensile strength) is carried out according to GOST 10446 on samples with an estimated length of 100 mm. Sampling is carried out according to GOST 24047.

7.5 For the test of wire on uniformity, rigidity and surface strength at compression produce 80 — 120 pieces cylinder columns of varying lengths of wire selected for testing, but no more than three from one segment. The size of the columns should correspond to GOST 3779. Test bars annealed cylinder for uniformity, surface strength — according to GOST 3779. When testing for homogeneity for wire diameters 6,0; 8,0 and 10,0 mm the permissible deviations of the columns of the average height must be less than the established GOST 3779 0.01 mm.

7.6 For chemical composition analysis at 6.5 from the selected cut wire cut one sample. Sampling for chemical composition analysis is carried out according to GOST 24231.

Chemical composition analysis is carried out according to GOST 13938.1 — 13938.12 and GOST 9717.3.

The oxygen content is determined according to GOST 13938.13.

Allowed to the manufacturer of the sampling carried out by the molten metal.

Allowed to carry out chemical analysis by other methods of equal precision specified. If there is disagreement in the assessment of the chemical composition analysis is carried out according to GOST 13938.1 — 13938.12 and GOST 13938.13.

7.7 the results of the measurements are rounded according to the rounding rules established ST SEV 543.

8 Packing, marking, transportation and storage

8.1 Segments of wire must be Packed in bundles with matching length in the range of 40 mm.

8.2 Bundles of wire should be wrapped in waterproof paper GOST GOST 8828 or 9569 or packing the fabric according to GOST 5530, or other material on regulations and bound with a steel wire of diameter not less than 3.0 mm according to GOST 3282 or steel strip sizes not less than 0.3x16mm churchyard 3560 (binding: wire — stranding at least five turns of tape — in lock) and Packed in wooden boxes of types I, II-1, II-2, III-1 and III-2 according to GOST 2991 with a dense pad of wood chips according to GOST 5244 or paper waste. Dimensions of boxes — GOST 21140.

Weight of cargo must not exceed 80 kg.

Bundles of wire must be protected against corrosion, contamination and mechanical damage.

8.3 permitted to use other types of packaging materials not inferior in strength of the above, and other types and methods of packaging, ensure quality safety wire.

8.4 In each box or container must be attached to the packing slip, containing: — trademark or name and trademark of the manufacturer:

— the name of the country of manufacture;

— designation of wire;

— the batch number;

— the net weight;

— gross mass;

— the number of the packer.

8.5 Transport marking under GOST 14192 with the application of manipulation sign «Protect from moisture».

8.6 Packaging of wire that is sent to the far North regions and equated areas according to GOST 15846 in the group «Metals and metal products.»

8.7 Wire transporterowych all types of transport in covered vehicles in accordance with cargo carriage regulations applicable to transport of this species.

8.8 Wire should be stored in covered premises. When storing and transporting the wire should be protected from mechanical damage, moisture and active chemical substances.

The consumer wire should be kept in stock in the manufacturer’s packaging for at least two days to equalize the temperature of the wire to the room temperature. After this period, the wire needs to be unpacked.

9 manufacturer’s Warranty

9.1 the Manufacturer guarantees compliance wire requirements of this standard if the consumer of rules of transportation and storage.

9.2 the Warranty period of storage of wire — 6 months from date of manufacture.

9.3 after the warranty period of storage of wire before use must be checked for compliance with the requirements of this standard and compliance can be used by the user to the destination.
