8.8.2. Analysis

A sample of zinc concentrate with a mass of 1,000 g was placed in a glassy carbon crucible and calcined for 1 h at 500 °C, cooled and thoroughly mixed with the mixture for alloying. The crucible was placed in muffle furnace with a temperature of 350 °C, heat the sample for 15 min, then transferred into the crucible muffle furnace, heated to a temperature of 650−670 °C and fused for 10 min, the melt was stirred once. At the same time take equal to the mass of the weighed mixture of the oxides and is carried out through the entire course of the analysis (controlling experience). The resulting analysis of the control solution used in the construction of calibration curve to account for the influence of composition of sample and reagents used in the analysis.

After cooling, the crucible is poured into a 50 cmГОСТ Р 54922-2012 Концентраты цинковые. Технические условияhot distilled water, close the crucible watch glass and leached the beach at weak boiling. The resulting solution and the precipitate was transferred to a beaker with a capacity of 250 cmГОСТ Р 54922-2012 Концентраты цинковые. Технические условия. The crucible is washed with hot distilled water so that total volume of the solution with the sediment did not exceed 100 cmГОСТ Р 54922-2012 Концентраты цинковые. Технические условия. To the solution to precipitate poured 10 cmГОСТ Р 54922-2012 Концентраты цинковые. Технические условияof hydrochloric acid (1:1) and 3 cmГОСТ Р 54922-2012 Концентраты цинковые. Технические условияof a solution of iron (II) chloride, heated to a temperature of 80−90°C and check the pH of the solution on the indicator paper. If necessary, add dropwise a solution of hydrochloric acid (1:1) or 20% solution of sodium carbonate to obtain a solution with a pH of 8−9. Close a glass watch glass and heat the solution to precipitate for 30 min, avoiding boiling. Then re-check the pH value of the solution and if necessary adjust it as described above and heated for another 10 min.

After cooling the solution to precipitate transferred to a volumetric flask with a capacity of 200 cmГОСТ Р 54922-2012 Концентраты цинковые. Технические условия, adjusted to the mark with distilled water and mix. Filter the solution through a filter with a blue ribbon with a small number of filtrowanie mass in a dry plastic jar. The first portion of the filtrate discarded. The remaining filtrate was used for measurements.

The preparation of the ionomer and the electrode to the work carried out in accordance with the manual of ionomer and passports to the electrodes. Fluoride electrode before measurements is kept in solution 5pF for 30 min, and then washed it in distilled water for 10 min, then proceed with the calibration of the electrode according to the operating instructions of the device.

For the calibration of the electrode graduirovannam prepare a series of solutions as follows: four volumetric flasks with a capacity of 50 cmГОСТ Р 54922-2012 Концентраты цинковые. Технические условияeach placed sequentially at 5 cmГОСТ Р 54922-2012 Концентраты цинковые. Технические условияstandard solutions B, C, D and e are in each flask poured aliquot part of the control solution, equal aliquote part of the analyzed solution (20 cmГОСТ Р 54922-2012 Концентраты цинковые. Технические условия), and stirred.

Bring the solution volume up to 30 cmГОСТ Р 54922-2012 Концентраты цинковые. Технические условия, check the pH on indicator paper and, if necessary, poured dropwise 1 n solution of hydrochloric acid to a pH of 5−7, stirred, poured 5cmГОСТ Р 54922-2012 Концентраты цинковые. Технические условияof the background solution was adjusted to the mark with distilled water and mix.

The solution is placed in a dry beaker immersed in it, the electrodes and the magnet. The solution was stirred for 2 minutes, turn off the stirrer and after the establishment of the electrode potential enter the value in the memory device according to the instructions.

Similarly prepared to the measurements the solution, with the exception of the introduction aliquote part of the control solution.

Measure the electrode potential and read from the screen of the device, the mass concentration of fluoride in solution.

The electrode between measurements analyzed solutions are washed in distilled water for 2 min and kept on the air.

9.2 Transportation of zinc concentrates by railway in open rolling stock is Packed in 4.3.1 according to [36].

When transporting zinc concentrates in bulk in all-metal gondola cars with hatches, the shipper shall comply with [37], [38] and [43].

To prevent spillage on a railway line zinc concentrates transported in bulk, and contamination of the environment, the shipper shall comply with [36] and [38].

The measures taken by the shipper to provide for sealing structural gaps wagons by covering the floor and parts of the walls of the carriages to a height of not less than 150 mm from the floor material, which ensures a reliable seal of the gap (paper 515 GOST, GOST 2228 or GOST 8828, cardboard according to GOST 7933, GOST 9347, [22]*, [27]* or [28]* and the polyethylene film according to GOST 10354).

* See Bibliography. — Note the manufacturer’s database.

When loading zinc concentrates in the car and unloading them from the car must comply with the requirements of GOST 22235.

To prevent blowing of fine particles of zinc concentrates transported in bulk, the motion of the vehicle the consignor shall follow the requirements [36].

Taken by the shipper, additional measures to prevent the blowing of fine particles of zinc concentrates as follows:

— loading is performed in such a way that the distance from the surface of the zinc concentrates to the upper parts of the walls of the train was at least 0.8 m;

— after loading the surface of the zinc concentrates shall be leveled and compacted.

To prevent freezing of the zinc concentrates in the cold period of the year should be carried out preventive measures under section III [39].

9.3 Transport of zinc concentrates water transport is subject to the provisions of [6], [11]*, [12] [16] under the following conditions:

In the upper part of the cargo spaces shall be capable of sampling the gas-air environment without a visit to this room. Cargo room should be equipped with devices allowing for natural or forced ventilation.

9.4 Transport of zinc concentrates by road transport is in packaged form and in bulk.

Transportation of zinc concentrates in bulk is subject to the following conditions:

— to prevent spillage of zinc concentrate via the existing in the back of constructive gaps on roadway and environmental pollution these gaps is necessary before loading zinc concentrates in the vehicle is filled with paper, cardboard or plastic film according to [38];

— to prevent freezing of the zinc concentrates to the bottom and to the walls of the vehicle in the cold season they need before the loading of the concentrate to cover paper or cardboard [38] and [39];

— to prevent loss of zinc concentrates when driving the vehicle they should cover it with a thick durable fabric or film.

9.5 In case of export of zinc concentrates from the Russian Federation the mode of transportation and requirements conditions of carriage defined in the contract for the supply of zinc concentrates and regulations in force in the territories of the consignor and the consignee.

9.6 Zinc concentrates are stored separately according to the types and parties (Packed or bulk) in warehouses or on designated sites, adapted for carrying out loading and unloading operations.

10 Guidance manual for

10.1 Zinc concentrates are subject to metallurgical processing in a dedicated facility, which receive a metallic zinc and zinc-containing slags, the latter may be subject to re metallurgical processing in order to extract from them, zinc, lead and other components.

11 manufacturer’s Warranty

11.1 the Manufacturer guarantees the zinc concentrates THAT the requirements under the conditions of its transportation and storage.

11.2 Warranty period of storage of zinc concentrates is not limited.
