In case of revision (replacement) or cancellation of this standard a notification will be published in a monthly information index «National standards». Introduction

Set out in the standard terms reflect concepts in the field of acoustic emission diagnostics.

The need for the development of this standard arose from the fact that the existing standard 27655 not fully reflect the terminology in the field of acoustic emission, which is associated with the emergence in recent years of new approaches in the field of acoustic emission diagnostics.

In addition, many terms given in GOST R ISO 12716, do not comply with domestic practice, the use of acoustic emission method.

1 Scope

This standard specifies terms and definitions, and letter symbols of the basic concepts in the field of acoustic emission in technical diagnostics.

For each concept has a single standardized term is given in bold. For some of the terms are given their letter designations.

Given the definition, you can optionally change by entering into derivative signs revealing the meaning of used terms, pointing to objects in the volume defined concepts. Changes must not violate the scope and content of concepts defined in this standard.

The standard lists the standardized equivalent term in English.

At the end of the standard is an alphabetical indexes of terms in Russian and English.
