3 Terms and definitions

This standard applies the following terms with respective definitions:

3.1 specifications (product specification): Compiled by the manufacturer a document (TU, STO, etc.), which depending on the kind of welding material imposes a number of requirements to the welding materials (such as chemical composition and mechanical properties of weld metal, type of coating, the composition of flux, welding parameters) the classification and designation in accordance with the specific standard for classification.

3.2 the manufacturer (manufacturer): Person or organization responsible for the quality of the final product supplied to the market.

3.3 weld metal (deposited metal): Melted in the welding process filler metal introduced into the joint.

4 Requirements to the technological process

Responsible for the technological process are the responsibility of the manufacturer.

5 product Requirements

Welding consumables should not be a source of generation of hazardous and harmful substances, the content of which exceeds the norms established by the requirements of normative documents and legislative acts of the Russian Federation, approved in the established order.

6 Methods of sampling, testing and evaluation

6.1 Geometric parameters

Diameter measurement should be performed with a micrometer having measuring range from 0 to 10 mm, other linear dimensions can be measured with a ruler. Can also be used other measuring tools that provide required accuracy of measurements. You must perform at least five measurements of the welding material (electrodes, wires, etc.), randomly selected from each package and of each lot or heat. When measuring the diameter of the measurement error should be not more than 0.01 mm, and when measuring linear dimensions of not more than 1 mm.

6.2 Mechanical properties

The mechanical properties should be checked in accordance with the methods given in the standard by which classified the welding material. In the case where requirements for mechanical properties are not regulated by the standard according to which the welding material is classified, you must use the appropriate section 14532−1 YONG, YONG YONG 14532−2 or 14532−3.

6.3 Chemical composition

Chemical composition analysis should be carried out by any methods, approved in the prescribed manner. On each sample it is necessary to conduct at least three tests, the result of the analysis consider the average value, which must satisfy the requirements.

7 conformity Assessment

7.1 General requirements

The product complies with the requirements of this standard to determine when conduct:

— preliminary tests;

— acceptance testing of products performed by the manufacturer.

7.2 Preliminary tests

7.2.1 General requirements

In the preliminary tests must take into account the requirements of this standard (for a specific product, a specific characteristics, test method, sampling, conformity assessment system, etc.). In addition, preliminary tests should be carried out before starting serial production or the introduction of new technological processes of production (if this can affect the properties of the products).

All the requirements given in section 5, to be confirmed by preliminary tests, except for determination of emission of dangerous and harmful substances that can be determined indirectly on the basis of their content in the welding material.

7.2.2 Program pre-testing

The program of carrying out of preliminary tests should be made in accordance with EN ISO 544 and in accordance with the standard by which classified the welding material, and in accordance with 14532−1 YONG, YONG YONG and 14532−2 14532−3.

7.2.3 documentation of the results

The results of the preliminary tests, made in accordance with the program, you must make and keep for at least 5 years from the date of manufacture of the products.

7.2.4 Sampling (samples)

Chemical composition analysis should be conducted on samples taken directly from the welding material or on specimens made of weld metal in accordance with the standard by which classified the welding material. Samples should be selected and tested in accordance with established requirements. The testing report should be submitted in the form corresponding to YONG 10204 (not below the level established by the «shape 2.2»).

7.3 the quality management System

7.3.1 General provisions

The manufacturer needs to develop, to document and maintain a quality management system (QMS) in order to be sure that products supplied to the market meets the requirements.

The QMS should include procedures for regular monitoring and testing and evaluation and inspection of raw materials and materials, which can influence the production process and manufactured products. QMS meeting the requirements of ISO 9001 and supplemented with requirements of this standard, should be considered when fulfilling the requirements of this standard. In addition, the QMS must meet the requirements of the relevant sections of YONG 12074, which contain similar or more stringent requirements than ISO 9001.

The results of control, tests or procedures to assess correspondences should be recorded in the relevant documents as they are carrying out. In cases where discrepancies of controlled values or settings established requirements, the results should also be documented and stored for the period defined in the QMS of the manufacturer.

The manufacturer must use procedures to ensure the quality of welding materials in the range of normalized parameters, which, in turn, provide installed and detected in the preliminary tests of indices of the properties and characteristics of welding materials. Types of tests and frequency of their conduct must conform to the instructions in YONG 14532−1 (Appendix N) or EN 14532−3 (Annex N).
