REPLACE GOST 10051−62

EDITION (November 2003) with amendment No. 1, approved in August 1988 (IUS 12−88).

1. This standard applies to metal covered electrodes for manual arc welding of surface layers with special properties.

The standard does not apply to the electrodes for surfacing layers of non-ferrous metals.

2. Types of electrodes, the chemical composition of the deposited metal and its hardness at normal temperature shall be as specified in table.1.

3. Check the chemical composition of the weld metal according to GOST 9466−75.

4. Checking the hardness of the weld metal according to GOST 9466−75, GOST 9013−59.

5. Other requirements are according to GOST 9466−75.

6. Some brands of electrodes corresponding to the specified type, given in the Appendix.

7. The symbol of electrodes according to GOST 9466−75. The group of indexes indicating characteristics of the deposited metal, should consist of two indices.

The first index indicates the average hardness of the deposited metal (see table.2).

Notes:

1. Indicate types of electrodes consist of index e (electrodes for manual arc welding and surfacing) and the following numbers and letters. Two or three digits following the index to indicate the average carbon content in the deposited metal in hundredths of a percent. Chemical elements contained in the deposited metal, indicated by the following letters: A — nitrogen, B — niobium, the tungsten, G — manganese, — cobalt, M — molybdenum, N — Nickel, P — boron, — silicon, T — Titan, f — vanadium, X — chrome. The figures following the letter symbols of the chemical elements indicate the average content of the element in percent. After the letter symbols of the chemical elements average content in the deposited metal is not more than 1.5%, the numbers don’t bear. With the average content in the deposited metal of silicon up to 0.8% and manganese up to 1.0% of the letters C and G are not represented.

2. The kind and heat treatment of weld metal shall be as specified in the standards or technical specifications for the electrodes of specific brands.

3. The hardness of the deposited metal after heat treatment for electrodes of types e-10G2, e-11Г3, e-12Г4, e-15Г5, e-16Г2ХМ, e-30Г2ХМ, e-35Г6, e-37Х9С2, e-80Х4С, e-95Х7Г5С, e-65Х11Н3, e-24Х12, e-300Х28Н4С4, e-320Х23С2ГТР, e-320Х25С2ГР, e-350Х26Г2Р2СТ, e-225Х10Г10С, e-15Х15Н10С5М3Г, e-200Х29Н6Г2, e-30Х5В2Г2СМ, e-65Х25Г13Н3, e-110Х14В13Х2, E-175Б8Х6СТ, e-190К62Х29В5С2 must comply with the requirements of standards or technical specifications for the electrodes of specific brands.

4. The hardness weld metal without heat treatment after welding for electrodes of types e-70Х3СМТ, e-20X13, e-35Х12Г2С2, e-35Х12В3СФ, e-100Х12М, e-120Х12Г2СФ, e-08Х17Н8С6Г, e-09Х16Н9С5Г2М2ФТ, e-09Х31Н8АМ2, e-13Х16Н8М5С5Г4Б, e-15Х28Н10С3ГТ, e-15Х28Н10С3М2ГТ, e-30В8Х3, e-80В18Х4Ф, e-90В10К5Ф2, e-105В6Х5М3Ф3, e-90Х4М4ВФ, e-10М9Н8К8Х2СФ, e-10К15В7М5Х3СФ, E-10К18В11М10Х3СФ must comply with the requirements of standards or technical specifications for the electrodes of specific brands.

The second index indicates the hardness of the deposited metal is provided without heat treatment after welding — 1 or after heat treatment — 2.

Note. If the standard or technical specifications for the electrodes of specific mark set the hardness of the deposited metal without heat treatment after welding and after heat treatment or after heat treatment at different modes, the group index is complemented by the corresponding pairs of indexes that you specify in parentheses.

8. The data required for the compilation of groups of indices according to claim 7, must be taken from the table.1 and standard or technical specifications for the electrodes of specific brands.
