5. Limitation of actions taken by Protocol No. 4−93 of the Interstate Council for standardization, Metrology and certification (ICS 4−94)

6. REVISED (April 1999) with Amendments No. 1, 2 approved in August 1984, June 1989 (IUS 12−84, 10−89)

1. This standard establishes General requirements for methods of analysis tin all grades according to GOST 860 in addition to the existing GOST and GOST 25086 22306.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

2. Sampling is carried out according to GOST 860.

Sample tin of high purity treated with a magnet, washed with hydrochloric acid diluted 1:2, then with water and dried. During the preparation of the metal protects from the direct touch of the fingers a thin plastic film.

3. (Deleted, Rev. N 1).

4. Mass fraction of elements in the tin chemical method is determined by three parallel batches in the tin of high purity in four batches.

Mass fraction of impurities determine the spectral method for the three spectrograms, chemical-spectral — fifteen (three spectrograms from each of the five batches).

The maximum discrepancy of the extreme results of the parallel determinations should not exceed the permissible differences for the corresponding interval of the mass fraction of the element specified in the standard methods of analysis.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1, 2).

5−11. (Deleted, Rev. N 1).

12. When photocolorimetric analysis of the cell are selected in such a way that the measurements were carried out at the optimum optical density for the corresponding colored connections and this device.

13. The spectral analysis of the slit width and intermediate aperture is chosen so that the blackening of the lines was optimal for a recommended photographic plates used in the spectrograph.

14. A manifestation of photographic plates, the spectral analysis is carried out at temperatures of solutions of 18−20 °C.

15. (Deleted, Rev. N 1).

16. In the analysis of tin of high purity are dishes made of quartz or PTFE.

The dishes before use, wash sequentially: chrome mixture, water, hydrochloric acid, again with water, distilled water and double-distilled water.

Clean utensils stored in boxes made of plexiglass or glass under the hood.

17. Analysis of tin of high purity is carried out in the room, the ventilation system and all equipment which exclude the possibility of any contaminants in the sample and the reagents.

18. (Deleted, Rev. N 1).

19. Ventilation of laboratory spaces shall be forced-air and exhaust with mechanical motivation. The air should blow from the possible sources of emissions of harmful gases. The ventilation system must meet the requirements of GOST 12.4.021 and create meteorological conditions and other factors that determine the condition of the air of working zone, corresponding to GOST 12.1.005.

20. Each excitation source spectra should be placed inside devices equipped with local ventilation to remove harmful substances and protective screens to prevent burn by ultraviolet rays.

21. Preparation of samples for analysis (grinding, mixing with carbon powder) should be carried out in fume cupboards or boxes, equipped with ventilation device.

22. Workplace when performing analyses shall conform to the requirements of GOST and GOST 12.2.032 12.2.033.

23. In the workplace is not allowed equipment not used in analyses.

24. Conditions electrical safety in workplaces must comply with GOST 12.1.019, the requirements of rules of technical operation of electrical installations, approved by Gosenergonadzor.

25. All electrical equipment, electrical tools and mechanisms that can be energized must be equipped with a device for grounding corresponding to the requirements of GOST 12.1.030, designated according to GOST 21130 in accordance with the requirements of the rules for electrical installations approved by Gosenergonadzor.

26. Items of machinery, plant and premises should be painted in signal colors and is equipped with safety signs in accordance with GOST 12.4.026*.

* On the territory of the Russian Federation GOST R 12.4.026−2001. — Note the manufacturer’s database.

27. Working with flammable and combustible liquids should be conducted in a fume hood with the running ventilation off gas burners and electric heating devices.

28. Recycling, neutralization and disposal of waste from production tests which have a deleterious effect on the human body, must be carried out in accordance with normative documents, duly approved and coordinated with the state sanitary supervision of the Ministry of health of the USSR and preventing harmful and hazardous substances into the environment (air, soil, water).

29−31. (Deleted, Rev. N 2).

32. Control of content of harmful substances in the air of working zone shall be carried out according to GOST 12.1.005.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 2).

33. The microclimate of laboratory facilities should be monitored according to GOST 12.1.005.

34. The noise level in workplaces and laboratory facilities should be monitored according to GOST 12.1.050.

35. The electrostatic properties of materials should be determined according to GOST 12.1.018.

36. Fire safety requirements of laboratory spaces shall meet the requirements of GOST 12.1.004.

37. Depending on the source of fire in laboratories performing tests for the determination of impurities in the tin, you should apply the extinguishing media according to GOST 12.4.009.

19−37. (Added, Rev. N 1).
