This standard applies to rolled aluminum foil used to manufacture capacitors.

1. ASSORTMENT

1.1. Thickness, width, tolerance on thickness and width shall be as specified in table.1 and 2.

1.2. The foil should be wound on a sleeve with an inner diameter of 34−36; 50−52; 68 to 70 and 70 to 75 mm.

Maximum deviations along the length of the sleeve for foil width up to 400 mm — ±0.5 mm, for foil of a width exceeding 400 mm — ±1 mm.

By agreement between the consumer and the manufacturer, the foil can be wound onto the other sleeve diameters.

1.3. The outer diameter of the roll of foil with a thickness of 0,005−0,016 mm should be 150−200 mm. In coordination with the consumer the outer diameter of the roll of foil can be increased. Allowed the rolls of foil with a diameter of 100 mm in an amount of not more than 10% of the batch weight.

The outer diameter of the roll of foil with a thickness of 0,020−0,150 mm should be 250−300 mm. By agreement between the consumer and the manufacturer is allowed to manufacture foil in rolls with a diameter of over 300 mm.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1. Foil produced in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.

2.2. The foil should be made of aluminium brands A99, A6, A5 according to GOST 11069−74* brands and AD0, AD1 GOST 4784−74**.

By agreement with the consumer it is allowed manufacture of a foil of aluminum, optionally doped with iron up to 1.2% by weight, or aluminum with a mass fraction of iron to 0,007%, silicon, up to 0.008%, copper up to 0,0045% of the total mass fraction of impurities not more than 0.02%.

2.3. The foil must be manufactured in the soft (annealed) and hard untrimmed (unannealed) condition.

2.4. The foil should not be extraneous inclusions and surface dirt, folds, tears, nicks, corrosion, aluminum dust, chips and stains from burnt lubrication.

Foil thickness of 0.005−0.050 mm in the soft state should not have any traces of grease.

Allowed on the foil with thickness 0.030 mm and less small holes, visible with the naked eye against the light, in the absence of their accumulation and stroke location;

on the foil thickness greater than 0,030 mm holes, the number and location of which shall be established in consultation with the consumer;

the transverse strips formed from the uneven tensioning of the foil along the length of the roll;

prints from rolls, not impeding the free rolling of foil from the roll.

In coordination with the consumer the quality of the surface of the foil, the number and location of holes are determined according to the standards agreed in the prescribed manner.

2.5. The mechanical properties of the foil shall conform to the requirements specified in table.3.

2.7. The foil should be wound with tension, eliminating the possibility of loss, rotate the bushing or the offset of turns by shaking the coil.

The ends of the roll must be free of nicks, dings and dirt.

For foil of a thickness of > 0.020 mm allowed the displacement of the coils and the ends of the roll to 1.5 mm.

2.8. The entire length of the foil roll should be easily unwound and the foil edge must be free of burrs or tears.

One roll is allowed:

for a foil with a thickness of 0.010 mm or less — no more than five breaks;

for a foil with a thickness of more than 0,010 to 0,030 mm inclusively — no more than four breaks;

for foil thickness in excess of 0.030 to 0.060 mm inclusively — no more than three breaks;

for foil thickness in excess of 0.060 mm — no more than one breakage.

Stripping the ends of coils of the foil thickness of 0.005−0.010 mm in places the cliffs foil is not carried out. The edge of the foil must not protrude beyond the end face of the roll by more than 2 mm.

By agreement with the consumer allowed to sweep the ends of the coil to the ground of the cliff.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES

3.1. Foil take parties.

The party should consist of a foil one destination, one brand of aluminum, single precision manufacturing, one state, one size and decorated with a single document about quality that contains:

trademark or a trademark and the name of the manufacturer;

the symbol foil;

the weight of the party;

batch number;

the results of the tests;

the number of seats (when packing into boxes);

stamp of technical control.

Mass party foil aluminum brand A99 should not exceed 5 tonnes of aluminium brands AD0, AD1, A6, A5 — 30 t

3.2. To check the size, surface condition and lubrication of the party take 5% rolls, but at least three rolls.

3.3. To determine the mechanical properties of the party selected 2% of the coils, but not less than two.

The tensile strength of a soft foil with a thickness of 0.005−0.006 mm is determined on each batch to collect data with the purpose of the valuation from 01.01.92. The mechanical properties of the foil thickness 0,007−0,150 mm are determined periodically at the request of the consumer.

3.4. To determine the specific capacity of the party take one roll.

3.5. To check the chemical composition of the party take one roll. Allowed the manufacturer to verify chemical composition to acquire a sample from the liquid metal.

On the factory foil allowed the analysis of the chemical composition foil aluminum brand A99. Compliance with the chemical composition of the foil stamps A99 is determined by the document about the quality of the ingot of the manufacturer of the ingot.

3.6. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one indicator thereon, a second test of the doubled sample. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.

4. TEST METHODS

4.1. To check the surface quality and size from the roll is unwound 3−5 m of foil. Examination of the foil should be carried out without the use of magnifying devices.

4.2. Foil thickness measuring head is tested according to GOST 6933−81*. For the measurement of the foil thickness up to 0.01 mm is applied to the head of GP and IGPU with divisions of 0.1−0.2 µm and the radius of the measuring tip 5 mm according to GOST 6933−81*.

The width of the foil is measured with a metal ruler according to GOST 427−75.

4.3. Check the grease on the foil is carried out according to the method of compulsory or mandatory application 2 application 2A.

In case of discrepancies, check the grease on the foil is carried out according to the method of application 2.

4.4. Mechanical properties of samples determined by the method required applications 2B.

At the request of the consumer less than the foil width 15 mm are supplied the specimens with a minimum width of 15 mm for testing according to the method of application 2B.

4.5. Check the specific capacity in static conditions the methodology required applications 3.

To check the specific capacity from the same roll party selected cut the foil length of not less than 0.7 m. From each segment selected three samples.

4.6. Selection and preparation of samples for the determination of chemical composition is carried out according to GOST 24231−80.

4.7. Determination of chemical composition shall be carried out according to GOST 12697.6−77-GOST 12697.7−77, or other methods of equal accuracy standard.

The differences in the evaluation of the chemical composition analysis is carried out according to GOST 12697.6−77-GOST 12697.7−77.

5. PACKING, MARKING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

5.1 Each roll of foil must be wrapped with a paper tape of a width equal to the width of the foil.

On each roll in foil, attach a label indicating:

trademark or a trademark and the name of the manufacturer;

legend foil;

batch number;

stamp of technical control;

the date of issue.

5.2. Packaging of foil rolls

5.2.1. The rolls of foil or a set of several rolls are Packed in a specialized reusable collapsible container according to normative-technical documentation.

The ends of the coils or multiple coils protect the through-metal or plastic disks. Between the discs and the ends of the roll and between rolls included in a set, put inhibited paper brand of MGI 8−40 GOST 16295−82* inhibited or strip other types according to normative-technical documentation.

To protect the ends of the coil from mechanical damage to the lining of the inhibited material is placed a pad of foam polystyrene according to GOST 12998−85 thickness of 5−10 mm or soft rubber according to GOST 17133−83 or according to normative-technical documentation. The diameter of the spacers from inhibited materials, polystyrene and rubber should be at least 10 mm larger than the diameter of the roll.

Assembled specialized collapsible reusable containers should be tightly strapped. Specialized containers and packing materials shall be returned to the manufacturer.

5.2.2. Each roll should be Packed in polyethylene film with a thickness of 0.1−0.3 mm according to GOST 10354−82. Inside the package put the silica gel according to GOST 3956−76 in bags made of porous fabric or perforated polyethylene in an amount of not less than 30 g.

The ends of the rolls should be protected from mechanical damage, the strips of corrugated cardboard according to GOST 7376−84* or other cushioning material.

The open ends of the film must be twisted tightly and tied with a twine made of synthetic materials according to normative-technical documentation.

5.2.3. The rolls of foil during transport in the suspended condition wrapped in plastic film with a thickness of 0.1−0.3 mm according to GOST 10354−82. Inside the package is embedded silica gel according to GOST 3956−76 in bags made of porous fabric or perforated polyethylene in an amount of not less than 30 g.

The ends of the rolls should be protected from mechanical damage, the strips of corrugated cardboard according to GOST 7376−84 or other cushioning material.

The open ends of the film must be twisted tightly around a wooden rod and tied with twine made of synthetic materials according to normative-technical documentation or taped.

By agreement with the consumer allowed other ways of packaging and protection of the rolls of foil from corrosion and mechanical damage. The way of packing is stipulated in the purchase order.

5.2. The rolls of foil in a specialized collapsible reusable containers are placed in containers, vans in horizontal or vertical position.

The rolls of foil, Packed in plastic wrap, placed in containers churchyard 18477−79*, RVS or boxes of the types III-1, III-2 according to GOST 2991−85 on end or horizontally. The rows of coils must be protected from mechanical damage corrugated cardboard according to GOST 7376−84 or other cushioning material.

The rolls of foil, Packed in plastic film and transported in a suspended condition shall be worn on wood studs, reinforced between the wooden struts of the container or box.

Containers, vans and boxes should be lined with two-layer paper packaging according to GOST 8828−75*.

The foil rolls should be laid and reinforced so that they do not move during transportation.

Weight of cargo must not exceed 1250 kg.

Consolidation packages in overpacks shall be conducted in accordance with the requirements of GOST 21929−76*.

Packaging is carried out on pallets according to GOST 9557−87, GOST 9078−84 on wooden or metal pallets according to normative-technical documentation, with the strapping in the longitudinal and transverse directions with wire of diameter not less than 2 mm according to GOST 3282−74 or tape not less than 0,3х30 mm according to GOST 3560−73. Bond tips: twist the wire at least 5 turns of tape to the castle.

5.3. Transport marking of packages should be performed according to GOST 14192−77* with application of manipulation signs: «Afraid of dampness," «Caution, fragile», «Top, do not turn over».

5.4. In each container or box shall be attached to packing list stating:

trademark or a trademark and the name of the manufacturer;

brand of aluminium;

the dimensions of the foil;

batch number;

rooms of the packer;

designation of this standard.

5.5. Transportation of the foil should be carried out by rail in covered wagons, containers, CMX-3, CMX-5, GOST 1847−79 small or carload tonnage by types of shipping; road transport with caravans, cars and air transport in accordance with goods transportation regulations applied to this type of transport.

5.6. The foil should be stored in heated premises unpacked on the shelves, upholstered in a soft material or on the racks in limbo.

Stock must not at the same time with foil to store active chemicals and absorbent materials.

The rolls of foil in widths up to 200 mm is placed on the ends and put soft pads, rolls of foil with a width of 200 mm is placed horizontally, separating the rows of pads. Under specified storage conditions aluminum foil for capacitors of consumer properties during storage does not change.

ANNEX 2 (mandatory). A METHOD OF CHECKING THE PURITY OF THE SURFACE OF THE FOIL HALIDE OCEANATLAS GTI-3 GTI-6

The method is based on the property of a heated platinum wire (filament) of the sensor devices to increase the ion emission from the surface in the presence of fumes and gases produced during the decomposition of organic compounds under high temperature.

To increase the area of capture of gases and smoke from the surface of the foil to the external probe of the device is provided with a conical nozzle with an area capture 100 cmГОСТ 25905-83 Фольга алюминиевая для конденсаторов. Технические условия (с Изменениями N 1, 2).

Check the surface of the foil is held in a room with clean air. The presence in the room of the smoke and gases is not allowed. Relative humidity should be no more than 80%, temperature (25±10) °C.

Check the foil should have a temperature not lower than the temperature of the room in which it is being tested (to avoid water condensation).

Unpacking rolls is recommended in the room where they will be tested.

Inspection carried out on the samples having a surface area of 100 cmГОСТ 25905-83 Фольга алюминиевая для конденсаторов. Технические условия (с Изменениями N 1, 2). From each roll selectively from different places take 8−10 samples and check both sides of the foil. In the course of preparation and testing necessary to exclude contamination check of the surface (arm, etc.).

Samples of the foil are alternately placed on a preheated hotplate surface and simultaneously covered with a nozzle probe. For heating of the foil samples used the unit closed type with a capacity of 400−800 W, which is switched on for 15−20 min before inspection.

After 2−3 s of exposure count the readings of the measuring unit. The sensor switch device should be installed in position 8.

With no lubricant on the surface of the foil needle remains in the zero position.

The essence of the method is based on properties of a drop of distilled water is not spread with oil on the surface of the foil.

2. Testing

To unwind from the roll a few turns of foil, giving tests just exposed surface. If the foil has a matte and glossy surface, a test is carried out on a matte surface. Surface finish is evaluated by diagrams given on features.1−5, showing the position of the sample, the shape of the spreading droplet and the surface condition.

1. Equipment, reagents, materials


Aluminium foil thickness from 0.007 to 0.150 mm.

2. Preparation of samples to test

2.1. To determine the mechanical properties of each selected roll cut off a piece of foil length of not less than 2 m for the manufacture of three samples.

Samples for tensile tests should be cut in the form of strips with a width of (15,0±0,20) mm and the allowable difference between maximum and minimum width along the length of the working part of the specimen 0.10 mm, working length 150 mm Samples cut along the direction of rolling.

6. Processing of the results
