This standard applies to cold rolled strip of carbon tool grade steel for the manufacture of saws cotton ginning machines.
Indicators of technical level established by this standard are intended for the highest quality.
(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

1. ASSORTMENT

1.1. The tape is manufactured in rolls with a thickness of 0.95 mm and a width of 327 mm high accuracy in thickness and cut edge.

1.2. Maximum deviations in thickness of the tape should not exceed ±0.05 mm and width +5 mm.

1.3. The tape should be flat. The nonplanarity of the ribbon to the length of 327 mm in the transverse and longitudinal directions should not exceed 0.5 mm.

1.4. Camber strips shall not exceed 3.0 mm per 1 m length.

1.5. Internal roll diameter — 500 mm.

1.6. The weight of one roll should be 500−1100 lbs. allowed for the conservation of mass of the coil winding of one roll no more than four segments of the tape; wherein the length of each segment of the tape shall not be less than 30 m. Place the winding mechanism must be marked with strips.

1.7. Basically a telescoping of the tape roll should not exceed 40 mm.

1.8. Tape roll should have edges bent at an angle of 90° and are twisted and crumpled.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1. Cold rolled steel strip for saws cotton ginning machines must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard and technical documentation approved in the established order.

2.2. The tape is manufactured of steel grade U8G 5th group according to GOST 1435−99.

2.3. The tape must be thermally processed — quenching with tempering.

2.4. The mechanical properties of the finished tape shall conform to the standards:

tensile strength ГОСТ 5497-80 Лента стальная холоднокатаная для пил хлопкоочистительных машин. Технические условия (с Изменением N 1) — not less than 1150 N/mmГОСТ 5497-80 Лента стальная холоднокатаная для пил хлопкоочистительных машин. Технические условия (с Изменением N 1)(115 kgf/mmГОСТ 5497-80 Лента стальная холоднокатаная для пил хлопкоочистительных машин. Технические условия (с Изменением N 1));

elongation after rupture of ГОСТ 5497-80 Лента стальная холоднокатаная для пил хлопкоочистительных машин. Технические условия (с Изменением N 1)at least 6%;

hardness HRA 67−70.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

2.5. The tape surface should be smooth, free from scale, rust, shells, sunsets, cracks and smoothed out bubbles. On the surface of the tape allowed minor imprints, risk, small slivers, nicks and Rabina within half the tolerance on the thickness and color of a tint.

Note. On the surface of the tape allowed a touch of salt. The number and size of salt stains by standards agreed upon between manufacturer and user.

2.6. On the edges of the belt are allowed, minor cracks and flaws, not bringing her beyond the nominal width.

2.7. Striping tapes is not allowed.

2.8. The roughness parameter Ra of the tape should be not more than 1.25 µm according to GOST 2789−73.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES

3.1. The ribbon take parties. The party should consist of tape one melt and one heat treatment and furnished by a single document about quality that contains:

the name and trademark of manufacturer;

the name of the consumer;

grade of steel;

the melting number and batch number;

the weight of the batch;

the number of rolls in the party;

the results of chemical analysis;

the results of all testing;

stamp of technical control;

the designation of this standard.

3.2. Dimensions and surface quality test on each roll of the party.

3.3. To check the chemical composition of the sample size — according to GOST 7565−81.

3.4. For testing of mechanical properties, hardness, flatness, camber and lack of separation from each batch of strips are selected of 3% rolls, but at least two pieces.

3.5. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators it should re-test according to GOST 7566−94.

4. TEST METHODS

4.1. The quality of the surface and the edges of the belt checked visually without the use of magnifying devices.

4.2. Stratification is controlled by the inspection of the edges of the belt and cutting.

Allowed stratification to identify by examination of polished samples, etched at a temperature of 60−70 °C in 50% aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid for a period of not more than 10 min.

4.3. The width and thickness of the test strip measuring tools that provide required accuracy of measurements at a distance of not less than 2 m from either end and 20 mm from the edge of the roll.

When control of the tape at the consumer party is considered to be appropriate to the requirements of this standard, if the mass of the parcel non-conforming in thickness, does not exceed 2.0% by weight of the party; at the same time attacks on limit deviations on thickness shall not exceed ±0,07 mm.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

4.4. To control the mechanical properties and hardness cut one sample from the beginning and end of the roll along the direction of rolling.

4.5. Rockwell hardness is determined on a scale And GOST 9013−59. The number of prints is at least three for each sample.

4.6. Mechanical properties test according to GOST 11701−84 on samples with the width of the working part 20 mm.

4.7. The parameters of surface roughness of the tape is determined by the profilers-profiling — according to GOST 19300−86 or other devices that provide the necessary measurement accuracy.

4.5−4.7. (Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

4.8. The nonplanarity of the tape measure on maps the size of 327х327 mm according to the method agreed upon by the consumer and the manufacturer.

4.9. Camber is checked at the consumer’s request by matching the edges of the sample tape with a length of 1 m with a smooth plate; the measurement is performed at the point of largest curvature.

4.10. The chemical composition of the metal tape is certified by a document of the manufacturer of the metal.

The chemical composition of the tape is determined according to GOST 28473−90, GOST 12344−88*, GOST 12345−2001, 12346−78 GOST, GOST 12347−77, 12348−78 GOST, GOST 12350−78, 12352−81 GOST, GOST 12355−78.

5.1. Packaging and labeling — according GOST 7566−94.

5.2. The tape must be covered with a layer of grease that protects the metal from corrosion.

5.3. Transportation is carried out by any mode of transport. Transportation and storage rolls must be carried out in conditions excluding ingress of moisture to the tape.

5.4. On the tape, which has the state quality Mark, is applied to the image quality Mark.
