This standard applies to gold leaf from grades Clsrm 960−30 (yellow gold), Slsr 750−250 (green gold) and silver brand SR 999,9 in the books of the rectangular sheets, which are produced through forging of the foil and is designed for decorative and corrosion resistant coatings.

Indicators of technical level established by this standard are intended for the highest quality.

1. ASSORTMENT

1.1. The size of the sheets of gold leaf and silver, the quantity and mass them in one book should match those in the table.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1 a. Gold foil and silver must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.

2.1. Gold leaf are made from alloys of LSRM 960−30 and Slsr 750−250, the chemical composition which must comply with GOST 6835−80. Silver-leaf are made from silver brand SR 999,9 chemical composition which must comply with the requirements of GOST 6836−80.

2.2. The surface of the sheets of gold and silver must not have stains, cracks, holes, breaks and other damage.

2.3. The sheet edges should be smooth, have no burrs and at right angles.

2.4. Leaves of gold and silver should be shifted tissue paper according to GOST 3479−85 and easily detachable from it.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES

3.1. Books of gold and silver take parties. The party should consist of books of the same mass and the same brand of alloy and accompanied by a document about quality that contains:

trademark or the name and trademark of manufacturer;

product designation;

the weight of the batch;

chemical composition;

batch number;

the date of issue;

stamp of technical control of the manufacturer.

3.2. (Deleted, Rev. N 2).

3.3. To check the quality of sheets of gold and silver for compliance with the requirements of PP.2.2−2.4 select three leaves from any two books of the party.

3.4. To check the weight of the sheets of gold leaf or silver to the owner for compliance with the requirements of section 1.1 and to determine the content of gold or silver (p.2.1) take 1% of the books, but at least one book from the party.

3.5. On the manufacturer allowed gold and silver to determine in samples from molten metal or the ingot.

3.6. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators, it conducted a re-test of the doubled sample taken from the same batch. The results of repeated checks apply to the entire party.

4. TEST METHODS

4.1. Control the size of the sheets of leaf gold or silver produce a measuring tool to ensure appropriate measurement accuracy.

4.2. To check claim 2.2 cracks, holes and breaks under the sheet of gold leaf or silver placed a sheet of white paper. In this white paper should not show through. Other requirements PP.2.2 and 2.3 are checked by visual inspection.

4.3. Chemical composition is determined by GOST 28353.1−89, GOST 17234−71, 17235−71 GOST, GOST 22864−83.

Control the mass of leaves of gold leaf or silver is in accordance with the rules approved in the established order.

5. MARKING, PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

5.1. Cover books of leaf gold and silver are made of writing paper according to GOST 18510−87 or coated paper according to GOST 21444−75.

5.2. On the front cover, made of typographic or lithographic print, specify:

a) trademark or the name and trademark of manufacturer;

b) the name of the product;

C) the number of sheets in the book;

d) the mass of leaves of gold leaf or silver in the book (in ligature);

d) the date of issue;

e) stamp of technical control;

g) excluded;

h) the designation of this standard;

I) the dimensions of the sheet.

5.3. Books with gold or silver leaf Packed in bundles. Each pack should be 10 books. Allowed in the party no more than 3% of packs with the number of books less than 10.

5.4. The outside of the pack lay cardboard according to GOST 2824−86, one of the front sides whose label made a typographic or lithographic method, where you indicate:

a) trademark or the name and trademark of manufacturer;

b) the name of the product;

C) the number of books in the stack;

d) the mass of leaves of gold leaf or silver in the bundle (in ligature);

d) the date of issue;

e) stamp of technical control:

g) excluded;

h) the designation of this standard;

I) the dimensions of the sheet.

5.5. A pack of bandaged to the four corners of the criss-cross one segment of the bobbin thread N 00 GOST 6309−93, tie the ends of the thread in the upper left corner from the label, fasten with a wax seal. Packs are placed on edge in cartons of normative-technical documentation.

5.6. Boxes are Packed in wooden boxes, which are sealed.

5.7. Books with gold foil and silver should be stored in a dry heated room at a temperature of 20−30 °C in conditions protecting from damage.

5.8. Accounting, storage and transportation of gold and silver produced in the manner prescribed for the registration, storage and transportation of precious metals.
