Notes:

1. At the request of the customer can be manufactured of wire, the intermediate diameters not covered by the table.1; limit deviations for these diameters should correspond to the limit deviations in the direction of the larger diameter.

2. Wire diameter from 0.18 to 0.38 mm, galvanized in groups C and W used for aircraft cables, is made with maximum deviations of ±0.01 mm, with diameters between 0.40 and 0.65 mm are manufactured with extreme deviation ГОСТ 7372-79 Проволока стальная канатная. Технические условия (С Изменениями N 1-4)mm.

3. Wire without coating diameters from 0.80 to 0.95 mm, used for Elevator ropes that is manufactured with utmost deviations, ГОСТ 7372-79 Проволока стальная канатная. Технические условия (С Изменениями N 1-4)mm.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 4).

1.3. The roundness of the wire must not exceed half the tolerance on the diameter.

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1. Wire shall be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.

Wire shall be manufactured from carbon rope wire rod according to normative-technical documentation.

It is possible to manufacture wire of carbon steel according to GOST 1050 and GOST 14959.

Wire for aerial rope is made of wire rod, grades 50, 55, 60, 65. Steel grade selects the manufacturer.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 3, 4).

2.2. On the surface of the wire without coating should not be cracked, shells, sunsets, shells and rust. Traces of copper plating technology on the surface of the wire are not allowed.

2.3. The zinc coating of the wire must be continuous, without gaps or cracks visible without magnifying instruments.

Allowed separate nodules zinc quantity not exceeding the positive limit deviation from the actual diameter of the wire.

Wire groups of coolant and allowed a separate SAG amount not exceeding double positive tolerance of the actual wire diameter.

2.4. Adhesion of zinc coating to the steel core must be strong. The zinc coating should not flake off and crack when the spiral wrapping of the wire on a cylindrical core with a diameter equal to the specified in table.2.
