This standard applies to hot-rolled steel periodic profile longitudinal rolling, to be used as blanks for the production of car axles, trailer axles, automobile crankshaft, front arm lining coal mining complex and similar in configuration details.

Indicators of technical level established by this standard are intended for the highest quality.

The quality is determined based on the quality of the steel used for the manufacture of profiles.

1. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

1.1. The periodic profiles are produced in accordance with the requirements of this standard for technological regulations approved in the prescribed manner.

1.1. Periodic profiles are made of carbon steel and alloy structural steel grades specified in table.1.

1.2. Periodic profiles of the heat treatment is not subjected.

1.6. Each period in the profile of the rod shall be separated by transverse dividing mark in the form of a protrusion or depression.

1.12. Moustache, surface defects and burrs of the profile ends should be removed by mechanical means.

1.13. On the surface profiles is intended for hot forming, defects in rolled out view of bubbles, cracks, rolling shells, sunsets and non-metallic inclusions are not allowed.

1.14. On the surface profiles designed for cold mechanical processing, allowed a single, rolled, bubbles, shells, footprints and risks, the depth of which does not show the size of the profile beyond the negative deviations.

1.15. Surface defects on profiles should be removed by gentle cutting or Stripping.

The width of the cutting or Stripping shall be not less than five times the depth.

The width of the cutting or Stripping the profile for the front axle of the GAZ-53−12 should be not less than six times depth.

The depth of Stripping defects on the profiles used for hot forming, should not exceed the half-sum of limiting deviations of the corresponding size.

1.16. Profiles are not subjected to editing.

2. ACCEPTANCE RULES

2.1. Profiles accepted by the parties. The party must consist of a profile made of steel in one melting-ladle.

Allowed by agreement between manufacturer and user delivery profiles of the same size in batches.

The national party can consist of a profile made of no more than four heats. The difference in carbon content in trunks team of the party of not more than 0.03%, manganese content of 0.15% by bucket sample.

2.2. To check the quality of profiles taken from the party:

for tensile tests — two rods;

testing the hardness of five bars;

to test hot upset — three rods;

to control the microstructure of the two rods;

to check the quality of the surface and size — all bars.

2.3. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators it is carried out re-tests on twice the number of samples taken from the same batch. The results of repeated tests are final and apply to the entire party.

3. TEST METHODS

3.1. From each selected rod cut off:

for tensile tests — two samples;

testing the hardness of one sample;

to control the macrostructure of two sample;

to test hot upset — two samples.

3.2. Selection of samples for mechanical tests according to GOST 7564−97.

Samples taken at the portion of the profile having the largest cross-sectional area.

3.3. The tensile test is carried out according to GOST 1497−84.

3.4. The hardness is determined according to GOST 9012−59.

3.5. Test hot upset is carried out according to GOST 4543−71.

3.6. Control of macrostructure by etching is produced according to GOST 10243−75. Allowed to apply the methods of ultrasonic testing according to GOST 12503−75 the original billet for rolling of profile taken from the head and bottom parts of one of the bars of each tray.

3.7. The surface quality of the profiles checking without the use of magnifying devices.

To determine the depth of the defects produce a control cutting or Stripping.

3.8. The size of the profile check of the measuring tool necessary accuracy.

4. MARKING, PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

4.1. Marking, packaging, transportation and storage is carried out according to GOST 7566−94.

4.2. Profiles are Packed in bundles weighing up to 5 tons.

By agreement between the manufacturer and the consumer packaging profiles in bundles weighing up to 10 tons Each bundle shall consist of sections of one party.

4.3. Profiles in bundles must be tightly and firmly tied with wire in the transverse direction in at least two places.

Allowed packing in one set of profiles with different number of periods.

Profiles with an allowance should be tied in separate bundles by the ends with the seam allowance to one side.

4.4. The profile ends must be marked with indelible ink. The paint color is set by the manufacturer.
