This standard applies to hot round periodic profiles of solid section, received by cross-helical rolling for subsequent machining or hot forming.

1. ASSORTMENT

1.1. The dimensions of the profiles and limit deviations should meet the requirements of GOST 8320.1−83 — GOST 8320.13−83.

1.2. The weight of one period calculated with nominal dimensions taking into account the seam allowance in the cutting and helical surface protrusions, the density of steel is equal to 7.85 x

1.3. The fillet radii of the adjacent sections of the profile, the angles of the passages 20 and 45° and dimensions without extreme deviations are used to build a profile and pre-release is not controlled.

1.4. The offset contour profiles along a helical track of the rolls at the crossings is not more than 10 mm.

1.5. Napravlennosti sections of smaller diameter relative to the sections of greater diameter should not exceed 8 mm.

1.6. The ends of the profiles must be cut off saws. By agreement between manufacturer and user is allowed to trim the ends with a blowtorch.

1.7. Cut end Squareness, mm should not exceed 0.1 of the diameter of the cut section and to output the actual length of the end portion for limiting deflection.

1.8. The burrs on the ends of the profile, cut saws are not permitted.

1.9. Depending on the purpose, the profiles are divided into groups:

I — for cold machining of all profile;

II — for cold machining of individual sections;

III — for hot forming.

Examples of symbols

A periodic profile of N 2 for the motor shaft of steel grade St5sp, category 1ГОСТ 535−88, group I:

The profile is periodic ГОСТ 8320.0-83 Профили периодические поперечно-винтовой прокатки. Общие технические условия (с Изменением N 1).

Periodic profile of the No. 1 axle of the tractor of steel grade 45, group II with a plot length 400 mm without surface treatment:

The profile is periodic ГОСТ 8320.0-83 Профили периодические поперечно-винтовой прокатки. Общие технические условия (с Изменением N 1).

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1. The periodic profiles are produced in accordance with the requirements of the present standard of steel grades and up to St5ps St5sp GOST 535−88 and steel grade 45 according to GOST 1050−88.

At the request of the consumer periodic profiles of steel grade 45 is manufactured with reducing carbon content.

2.2. The mechanical properties of the profile should correspond to GOST 535−88, GOST 1050−88.

2.1, 2.2. (Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

2.3. Profiles are produced without heat treatment.

2.4. On the surface of the profiles allowed a spiral track from the rolls, the hollows of which the diameters of the profile should take for maximum deviations.

2.5. On the surface profiles of groups I and II allowed without Stripping: some small risks, rabiza, prints, films, sunsets, if it does not take dimensions of sections for the ultimate sub-zero deviations.

2.6. The depth of defect is acceptable to determine after Stripping of surface profile length up to 50 mm every 100 mm.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

2.7. Profile group II — at sites without surface treatment of prisoners of war, sunsets and cracks should be removed.

2.8. For a profile of the III group on the surface are not permitted rolled out the bubbles and impurities, cracks, slivers, sunsets.

2.9. Surface defects are removed by gentle cutting or Stripping, the width of which shall not be less than five times the depth.

In one section two or more sweeps is not allowed.

The depth of Stripping shall not exceed:

3 mm — for the profiles of group III;

the negative maximum deviations for the profiles of group I and plots of the profiles of group II, applied without surface treatment.

2.10. The profiles are made of length equal to one or more periods.

3. ACCEPTANCE RULES

3.1. Profiles accepted by the parties. The party must consist of one melting profile and the same size and decorated the same document about the quality — GOST 7566−94.

Allowed to make a batch of profiles for different heats of the same size.

3.2. Checking the surface quality and dimensions is subjected to each profile.

3.3. To check the quality of profiles taken from the party:

for tensile tests — one profile;

for bending test, one profile;

hardness — three profiles.

3.4. If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the indicators it is carried out re-tests on twice the number of profiles. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.

4. TEST METHODS

4.1. From each selected profile for tensile testing, testing of cold bending and hardness cut off one sample.

4.2. Sampling for mechanical tests carried out according to GOST 7564−97.

4.3. The surface quality test without the use of magnifying devices.

4.4. The tensile test is carried out according to GOST 12004−81 and GOST 1497−84.

(Changed edition, Rev. N 1).

4.5. The bend test is carried out according to GOST 14019−80*.

* Standards 14019−2003. — Note the CODE.

4.6. Hardness test carried out according to GOST 9012−59.

4.7. Napravlennosti sections is determined as the difference between the largest and smallest gaps between the surface sections of smaller diameter and a line superimposed on the plots of the greatest diameter. The measurement is performed in the middle part of the area of the smallest diameter.

4.8. The diameters of periodic structures are measured depressions measuring instrument with an accuracy of 0.1 mm. Plots of the lengths measured with a ruler and other measuring tools with the precision to 1 mm.

5. MARKING, PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

5.1. Marking, packaging, transportation and storage is carried out according to GOST 7566−94.

5.2. Periodic profiles are Packed in bundles weighing up to 5 tons weight of the bundles specified by the user.

5.3. Each bundle shall be tied in two places with a wire, which is labeled.

By agreement between manufacturer and consumer periodic profiles can not be Packed.
