1 Scope


This standard establishes the requirements for copper concentrate produced at enrichment of copper-containing ores and to copper production and extraction of associated useful components.

The standard does not apply to copper-Nickel sulfide ore.

3 Technical requirements

3.1 Main characteristics

3.1.1 depending on the mass fraction of copper in copper concentrate divided into the following grades: KM0, KM1, KM2, KM3, KM4 frames, KM5, КМ6, КМ7.

3.1.2 the Chemical composition of the copper concentrate are shown in table 1.

3.1.3 In coordination with the consumer allowed in the concentrate of the brand КМ7 mass fraction of main substance not less than 12.0%.

3.1.4 Mass fraction of arsenic in all brands of copper concentrates should not exceed 0.6%.

Note — the copper concentrate produced from ores vysokosaharistyh allowed arsenic to 1.2%.

3.1.5 Mass fraction of molybdenum in stamps KM0, KM1, KM2 should be not more than 0.12%, and in DM KM3, KM4 frames, KM5, КМ6, КМ7 — no more than 0.18%.

3.1.6 Mass fraction of moisture in the dried copper concentrate should be not more than 7.0% in unseasoned copper concentrate — not more than 13.0%.

Mass fraction of moisture in copper concentrate containing more than 80% of the particles of the class 0,071 mm or less containing more than 10% of oxides of copper, should be not more than 14.0%.

3.1.7 Mass fraction of precious metals (gold and silver) in copper concentrate is determined in each batch.

3.1.8 Mass fraction of rare metals and sulfur determine, if required under the contract for the supply, which indicate the frequency of their definition.

3.1.9 depending on the composition of feedstock by agreement between the manufacturer and the customer is allowed to set other values of mass fractions of impurities and moisture, provided that the concentrate requirements of this standard for the mass fraction of the basic substance (copper).

3.1.10 the copper concentrate is not allowed the presence of foreign debris (pieces of rock, wood, metal, etc.).

3.2 Marking

Transport marking of copper concentrate shipped (transported) in containers must comply with the requirements of GOST 14192 and supply contracts.

When the supply of concentrate water transport marking shall conform to the requirements [1].

The marking should be applied to each package with indelible paint stencil or label which shall be securely attached and ensure the safety markings.

The marking shall contain:

— trademark or name of the manufacturer;

— the name of the product;

— brand;

— the batch number;

— date of manufacture;

— gross mass;

— the net weight;

— the designation of this standard.

3.3 Packaging

When the supply of copper concentrate Packed used special containers type SC 2−3 and SC 2−5 30302 GOST/GOST R 50610 or soft containers of single-use type MKR-1.0−2 AND 1.0 ППР2 [2] or other soft containers, according to regulatory documents. A safety factor of soft containers not less than 6:1.

4 safety Requirements

4.1 Copper concentrate is chemically inert, fire — and explosion-proof material, which in the atmospheric conditions decomposes with release of flammable substances, does not form water of toxic compounds, does not cause corrosion of metals and is not a dangerous cargo.

4.2 the composition of the copper concentrate consists of copper sulfides and iron, non-metallic materials and inorganic compounds of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, the content of which is controlled in the air of working zone in the process of production and processing according to GOST 12.1.005.

4.3 Copper concentrate is one of the substances of the 3rd hazard class according to GOST 12.1.007 and health standards [3].

4.4 In the workplace air concentration of pollutants should not exceed maximum permissible concentrations according to GOST 12.1.005 and health standards [3] and monitored according to GOST 12.1.016 frequency according to GOST 12.1.007.

4.5 Tools and methods of fire — according to GOST 12.4.009.

4.6 General requirements for ventilation of industrial premises — according to GOST 12.4.021. The place of emission of harmful substances in the air of the working area should be equipped with local exhausts.

4.7 safety Requirements during loading and unloading — according to GOST 12.3.009.

4.8 General requirements for sound pressure level — according to GOST 12.1.003.

4.9 General requirements and nomenclature of types of protection for electrical safety — GOST 12.1.019.

5 Requirements of environmental protection

5.1 Control of content of harmful substances in the composition of the copper concentrate in the environment shall provide expert ecological and analytical service companies or specialized organizations.

5.2 During production, processing, storage, loading or unloading of copper concentrate possible release of aerosols pollutants regulated hygienic standards [4] and [5], mass concentration of which is subject to dispersion must not exceed MPC and footwear, regulated by normative documents of the enterprise.

5.3 in the production and processing of copper concentrate should be ensured the implementation of the requirements of GOST 17.2.3.02.

5.4 in contact With copper concentrate in water objects, water or water objects with fishing value, the content of substances included in the composition of the copper concentrate should comply with the hygienic standards [6] or [7].

5.5 the Permissible level of soil pollution of populated areas components contained in copper concentrate should be no more than the MPC according to methodical instructions [8].

6 acceptance Rules

6.1 Copper concentrate supply parties. The party should consist of homogeneous quality parameters of the product of the same brand and to be issued in one document as sent to the consumer along with the transport documents containing:

— country of origin;

— name and trademark of manufacturer;

— name and brand of concentrate;

— the batch number;

— mass party net and gross;

— the results of the tests, including data for the mass fraction of moisture, precious metals, and also by agreement of the parties — rare metals and sulfur;

— date of shipment;

— number and date of issuance of the document;

stamp of technical control;

— the designation of this standard.

6.2 Mass party copper concentrate to be transported by rail, must be a multiple of technical norm of loading it into the car.

6.3 To assess the quality of the copper concentrate used selective method of control. Sampling and sample preparation — according to GOST 14180. Samples are taken from the manufacturer during loading of copper concentrate in the cars and at the customer when unloading.

6.4 Each party copper concentrate is subjected to acceptance tests for compliance with the requirements specified in 3.1.

6.5 If unsatisfactory test results of at least one of the performance indicators specified in 3.1, conduct repeated testing of duplicate samples, taken from the party. The results of repeated tests apply to the entire party.

6.6 Batch of products shall be deemed accepted in case of its compliance with all the requirements of this standard.

6.7 If the results of repeat tests do not meet the requirements, a batch of copper concentrate is recognized not corresponding to the acceptance criteria and translate in lower mark, the requirements of which it satisfies.

7 test Methods

7.1 Values of indicators of quality of copper concentrate is determined in accordance with the standards:

— mass fraction of copper, according to GOST 15934.1;

— mass fraction of lead, zinc and cadmium — according to GOST and GOST 15934.2 26100;

— mass fraction of molybdenum — GOST 15934.3;

— mass fraction of sulfur according to GOST 15934.8;

— mass fraction of arsenic — GOST 15934.9;

— mass fraction of gold and silver — according to GOST 15934.10;

mass fraction of moisture — according to GOST 13170;

— mass fraction of size class less than 0,071 mm — according to GOST 24598.

7.2 permitted the use of other test methods, certified in the prescribed manner in accordance with the requirements of GOST R 8.563. If there is disagreement on the results of tests with standard methods given above.

7.3 integrity Monitoring of vehicles before loading in bulk, package control, the presence in the concentrate of impurities is carried out visually.

8 Transportation and storage

8.1 Transportation

8.1.1 Copper concentrate transporterowych rail, water and road modes of transport in accordance with shipping rules applicable on the transportation of the species.

8.1.2 Transportation of copper concentrate by rail transport produce Packed in accordance with 3.3 or in bulk in specialized wagons, subject to the requirements of GOST 22235 and technical conditions for the stowage and securing of cargo in wagons.

8.1.3 In case of export mode of transportation of copper concentrate is determined in the supply contract subject to the rules in force in the territories of the consignor and the consignee.

8.2 Storage

Copper concentrate in bulk should be stored in covered warehouses.

9 manufacturer’s Warranty

9.1 the Manufacturer shall guarantee the conformity of the copper concentrate requirements of this standard, under the conditions of transportation and storage prescribed by the standard.

9.2 the Warranty period of storage of copper concentrate is not limited.
