5 INTRODUCED FOR THE FIRST TIME

Information about the changes to this standard is published in the annually issued reference index «National standards», and the text changes and amendments — in monthly indexes published information «National standards». In case of revision (replacement) or cancellation of this standard a notification will be published in a monthly information index «National standards». Introduction

The standards of ISO 15792 include the following parts, under the General title «Materials and welding. Test methods»:

— part 1. Test methods samples of weld metal from steel, Nickel and Nickel alloys;

— part 2. Preparation of samples for test of steel by single-pass and two-pass welding;

— part 3. Classification testing of welding materials for the welding position and the depth of penetration of the root of the fillet weld.

This part of ISO 15792 specifies the requirements for the production control of welded joints and evaluation parameters the angular welded joint during testing of covered electrodes and welding wires in position during welding, and penetration welding of the root pass.

The standard does not specify norms to assess the quality of welded joints. Evaluation of results of tests carried out according to the norms specified in the standard on the subject of welding material.

1 Scope

The standard specifies requirements for the construction control of welded joints and the parameters for evaluation of test results classification tests of covered electrodes and welding wire designed for welding carbon, low alloy, stainless steels and Nickel alloys for compliance with the requirements specified in the standard for welding materials, the spatial positions when welding and the weld root of fillet weld.

2 Normative references

This standard used the reference standard the following international standard:

ISO 6947 Welds welded. The operating positions. Definitions of angles of slope and rotation (ISO 6947, Welds — Working positions — Definitions of angles of slope and rotation)

Note — When using this standard appropriate to test the effect of reference standards in the information system of General use — on the official website of the Federal Agency for technical regulation and Metrology on the Internet or published annually by the information sign «National standards» published as on January 1 of the current year and related information published monthly indexes published in the current year. If the reference standard is replaced (changed), when using this standard should be guided by replacing (amended) standard. If the reference standard is cancelled without replacement, then the situation in which the given link applies to the extent that does not affect this link.

3 General requirements

The test is carried out on a typical welding consumable (electrodes or wires) product manufacturer submitted for testing. Preparation and testing of welds is carried out in accordance with this standard and the standard for welding material. Test results shall meet the requirements specified in the standard for welding material.

4. the Material of the plates for the inspection of welded joints

The material used for fabricating plates of the control of welded joints, choose from a range of grades and thicknesses are established by the standard for welded material. The welding surfaces of the plates shall be cleaned from scale, rust and other contaminants.

5, Assembly and welding of control welded joints

5.1 a test weld after Assembly and welding is shown in figure 1. Collect the plate surface should be smooth and to ensure a tight contact between the rib and the shelf along the entire length of the connection. To preserve the close contact of the coupling and the 90° angle between the edge and a shelf plate fixed at the ends of joints tack welds. The dimensions of the plates shall comply with the welding material.

Figure 1 — Preparation of control welded joints with fillet

5.2 Spatial position and the welding modes of the control welded joint should meet the standard for the welding material for the subject of the size of the welding material and ISO 6947. Single-pass weld is performed on one side of the welded joint for the entire length of the control connection. Temperature during Assembly must not be below 5 °C. When testing of covered electrodes welding each electrode as possible, but at least one must be performed continuously to the acceptable length of the candle 50 mm For electrodes with a length of 450 mm, designed for gravity welding, the weld can be performed manually or with the use of the device for gravity welding. When testing wires of solid section and a cored wires the welding of the test connection should be performed continuously from the beginning to the end of the seam.

5.3 welding Speed the test connection must ensure that the size of the fillet weld in accordance with the requirements of the standard on the subject of welding material.

5.4 If the standard for material requirements for both side welding test connection before welding the second side of the control joint should be cooled to room temperature in any convenient way.

When used for cooling water is necessary to completely remove moisture from the connection prior to welding the second side.

6 Control of quality control of welded joints

6.1 To confirm compliance with the requirements of the standard for welding material thickness and weld leg length should be measured using a suitable template in at least three locations along the length of the seam. When testing of covered electrodes when using two electrodes or more, cut off the seam area for macrolife length of about 25 mm should be placed at the end of the cushion from the first electrode a distance of approximately 25 mm from the crater at termination of welding. When testing of welding wires and covered electrodes, when using only one electrode, the area of the seam to macrolife length of about 25 mm should be placed from the middle of the weld.

6.2 One surface of Microlife needs to be polished, etched and marked, as shown in figure 2. Measurement calculated the height of the fillet weld, the magnitude of the convexity or concavity, size of the leg is performed on microslide with an accuracy of 0.5 mm.

Figure 2 — Dimensions fillet weld

For two-sided welded joints measurement of both joints is carried out on a single microslide.

6.3 For a fillet weld, welded from one side only, if required by the standard for welded material, the remaining parts of the control connection after cutting macrolife collapse for the entire length of the fillet weld by the application of the load in the direction, as shown in figure 3.
