Technological properties

Name The value
Macrostructure and contamination The appearance of the fracture of castings on OST 1 90077-72 should be dense, fine-grained, light-gray, with no signs of chill. Surface of castings shall be cleaned of sand and metal penetration. Sprues, heaving, bays, growths and veining must be cut or polished by abrasive material in the tolerances on the drawing. Nikitina, crack and end-to-end sinks are not allowed.
Microstructure According to OST 1 90077-72 microstructure of castings shall consist of plate and sarbatoarea perlite, carbon annealing, evenly spaced, small quantity of double fosrenol eutectic and free ferrite not more than 30%. In the field of cone is allowed up to 2% primary cementite and eutectic graphite.
Features of heat treatment According to OST 1 90077-72 heat treatment of castings produced in furnaces with a reducing atmosphere (or in boxes without filling them with sand) on the mode: download into the furnace at a temperature of not more than 600°C, then heating to 100-150°C for 1.5 to 3.0 hours and aging the casting at this temperature for 5.0-20,0 hours (depending on the wall thickness of castings and the contents of carbon and silicon). The cooling of the castings produced with the furnace to a temperature of 740-780°C and then in air. If after heat treatment the microstructure of castings has residual cementite or received excessive hardness, it is possible to repeat the heat treatment. If after heat treatment the microstructure of the castings have excessive amounts of ferrite or obtained low hardness, it is permissible to re-heat treatment of castings according to the following mode: loading the kiln at a temperature of not more than 600°C, heating up to 880-900°C and aging at this temperature for 1 hour. The cooling of the castings produced in the air, placing them at a distance from each other.
