Technological properties of 08Cr17T steel

Forging temperature
The beginning 1220, the end 900. Sections up to 350 mm are air cooled.
Weldability
limited. Satisfactory mechanical properties can be obtained when welding products with small thicknesses up to 2−3 mm. Sv-08Х20Н9Г7Т, Sv-05Х25Н12Тyu wires are used for automatic submerged-arc welding under flux AN-26 and ANF-14.
Tendency to tempering capacity
inclined at 475 C for long durations.
