Technological properties of 08Cr22Ni6T steel

Forging temperature
Beginning 1150, end 850.
Weldability
without restriction. Welding methods: ADS and RDS. For manual arc welding it is recommended to use TSL-11 electrodes with filler wire Sv-08X19H10B. The same wire is used for argon-arc and electric-arc automatic welding. For electric arc welding, automatic welding flux AN-26 is used. Heat treatment after welding is not required.
machinability by cutting
It is close to machinability of steels 12Х18Н9Т, 12Х18Н10Т.
Tendency to tempering ability
When heated in the range of 350−750 C in the ferrite component of steel occur processes associated with 475 C brittleness (350−500 C) and the release of b-phase (500−750 C), which reduces the impact toughness and ductility.
