Technological properties of steel 35HGSA

Forging temperature
Beginning 1250, end 860−880. Sections up to 100 mm are cooled in air, 101−200 mm — in a mold, 201−300 mm — with a furnace.
Weldability
restrictedly weldable. Welding methods: RDS, ADS submerged arc and gas shielded, ArDS. Heating is recommended and subsequent heat treatment is required, KTS without restrictions.
Machinability by cutting
In the hot-rolled state at HB 207−217 and σ B = 710 MPa K υ tv.spl. = 0.85, K υ b.st. = 0.75.
